Hold on to your capes, Superheroes, this year’s celebrity race at Superhero Tri on 15 Aug promises to be super special! We have got some of our all-time celebrity favourites returning for our 10th Birthday Celebration, including Paralympians galore!

This year our two Everyday Superheroes will win the chance to unite with one Celebrity Team Captain for plenty of supercharged action on mission day.

Alistair Patrick-Heselton

Paralympic footballer


This ex-Queens Park Rangers footballer went on to represent his country at the London Paralympics 2012 & now mentors in schools to help the next generation achieve their super goals! Inducted into the National Football Museum Hall of Fame by the FA in 2017, & with two Superhero mission already in the bag, Alistair is just the motivator for his team!

 

Bethy Doran

Paralympic Sprinter

Paralympian Bethy Doran is a sprint specialist who took silver at London 2012 and has a World Championship gold to her name. Quick out the blocks and fiercely competitive, she brings speed, focus and a winning mindset to every mission.

 

Callie-Ann Warrington

Paralympic swimming medallist & European champion

Callie-Ann started swimming lessons at a super early age & joined her first swimming club aged seven. Her many years of commitment to the sport has paid off & in 2024 she nabbed gold in the 100m butterfly at the European Championships & silver just a few months later at Paris 2024. What a super stroke of luck it would be to bag her as a teammate!

 

Dave Henson

Paralympic Sprinter

Dave is a sprint specialist who won bronze in the 200m at Rio 2016 and struck gold at the Invictus Games. With his speed, leadership and competitive edge, Dave brings serious energy and will have his team pushing all the way to the finish a true Superhero teammate to have on your side.

 

David Wiseman

Invictus Games architect & champion

The former infantryman who was shot in the chest in Afghanistan in 2009, is one of the architects of the Invictus Games. He worked closely with Prince Harry to bring his sporting vision to life. David went on to compete in three Invictus Games winning a total of 14 medals in the pool & headed up the team in 2016. Some serious Team Captain credentials!

 

Fi Cranswick

Paralympic Swimmer

Fi, a true Superhero, injured her hips & spine while serving in the Royal Air Force. Less than a year after emergency spinal surgery, she competed in the Invictus Games in Orlando, winning one gold & three silver medals in swimming. She earned the nickname "Femo" (after Nemo the fish) because only one of her "flippers" (legs) worked.

 

Frankie Allen

Paralympic & World rowing champion

This rower certainly knows how to make a splash. In her debut season for GB at the World Champs 2022, Frankie became the first woman in the sport’s history, along with rowing partner Giedre, to win two championship titles – the mixed fours & women’s double sculls – in one regatta! She then set a world record with her crew in 2023 & clinched gold in mixed fours at the 2024 Paralympics. POW!

 

Sophie Christiansen

Eight-time Paralympic equestrian champion

We have a real-life Wonder Woman! This equestrian legend always pours every ounce of energy into her Superhero missions, leading her team to greatness!

 

Stephen Miller

Multi-Paralympic club throwing champion

It’s the one & only Stephen Miller! This awesome athlete represented his country in the club throw & discus for more than three super decades, winning an astounding 36 international medals in all, including three Paralympic golds! A true great. 

 

Will Bayley

Paralympic, World & European table tennis champion

He’s only the most successful GB Paralympic table tennis player of all time! Will has competed at no less than five consecutive Paralympics, taking his medal tally to seven at Paris 2024! He’s also a European & World champion, & captured the hearts of the nation on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019. This big hitter is bound to be a big hit on the day!
