Super Squad Team Captain Competition Terms & Conditions

Winter Wonderwheels powered by Marvel | 6 December 2026 | Dorney Lake Windsor

1. The Promoter

1.1 The Promoter is Superhero Series C.I.C. Company number 10312457. Its registered office is First Floor, 1 The Matchyns, London Road, Rivenhall, Witham, Essex, CM8 3HA.

1.2 For questions about this competition contact hello@superheroseries.co.uk.

2. Who can enter

2.1 The person submitting the entry on behalf of their Super Squad must be aged 16 or over on the date of entry.

2.2 Each squad may include up to five participants in total. At least one squad member must consider themselves to have a disability of any kind.

2.3 Participants under 16 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to take part. Any necessary supervision arrangements must be agreed with the event team before participation.

2.4 The person entering must have the agreement of the squad members they include & any necessary parent or legal guardian permission.

2.5 The competition is open to UK residents only. All squad members must be able to attend Winter Wonderwheels powered by Marvel at Dorney Lake Windsor on 6 December 2026.

2.6 People directly involved in organising or judging this competition & their immediate families cannot enter.

3. How to enter

3.1 Complete the competition entry form on the Superhero Series website. Tell us your Super Squad’s name & the superpowers each teammate brings. Explain why joining a Celebrity Team Captain would mean something special to your squad.

3.2 Entry is free. There is no entry fee & no purchase is necessary.

3.3 The competition opens at 5pm on 12 October 2026 & closes at 6pm on 19 November 2026. All times are UK local time. Entries received after the closing time will not be considered.

3.4 One entry is permitted per squad. If the same squad submits more than one entry then only its latest complete entry received before the deadline will be judged.

3.5 Entries must be honest & submitted with permission to use any material supplied. Help with writing or submitting an entry is welcome & will not affect its chances of winning.

3.6 You do not need to describe a diagnosis or provide medical records. Please avoid including unnecessary private information about yourself or anyone else.

3.7 Entries that do not meet these terms or contain fraudulent or materially misleading information may be excluded. The Promoter will apply these rules fairly.

4. How winners are chosen

4.1 This is a judged competition rather than a random prize draw.

4.2 Eligible entries will be assessed against three equally weighted criteria:

Teamwork: How the squad demonstrates connection & support for one another.

Personality: The individuality of the squad & its members’ superpowers.

Meaning: What taking part together with a Celebrity Team Captain would mean to the squad.

4.3 Entries will not be judged on sporting speed or fitness. Writing ability & the severity of anyone’s disability will not affect judging.

4.4 A judging panel will select the winners. It will include at least one member demonstrably independent of the Promoter & those involved in running the competition & the entrants. The judges’ full names will be available on request.

4.5 The six highest scoring eligible squads will win. If scores are tied then the independent judge will review the tied entries against the same criteria & determine their final ranking.

4.6 The judges’ decisions about the merits of entries are final. This does not prevent entrants from raising a complaint about how the competition has been administered.

5. The prizes

5.1 There are six winning squad prizes. Each winning squad will be allocated one of the six Celebrity Team Captains.

5.2 Each winning squad will receive:

Free entry: Up to five squad places in total for the Celebrity 5km at Winter Wonderwheels powered by Marvel at Dorney Lake Windsor on 6 December 2026.

A Celebrity Team Captain: The opportunity to spend time together & talk team tactics before taking on the course together.

Superhero avatars: A personalised Superhero avatar for each participating squad member created by our resident Superhero artist.

5.3 The five free places include the person entering if they are taking part. The Celebrity Team Captain is additional to those places.

5.4 Participants may walk or wheel or run or push or use a combination of these. All participants must follow reasonable event safety instructions.

5.5 Celebrity Team Captains will be allocated by the Promoter. Entry does not guarantee a particular captain.

5.6 Avatars will be sent to winning squads on the day the winners are announced. They will be accompanied by information about their allocated Celebrity Team Captain & the captain’s story. The squad’s avatars will also be sent to its allocated Celebrity Team Captain. Winners will be announced no later than 27 November 2026.

5.7 Travel & accommodation & meals & other personal expenses are not included. Any arrangements for additional carers or support people must be confirmed with the event team. The prize does not automatically provide places beyond the five squad places.

5.8 Prizes cannot be sold or transferred to another squad. Changes to individual squad members may be agreed with the Promoter provided the squad continues to meet the eligibility requirements.

5.9 There is no cash alternative. If circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control make an advertised prize or part of it unavailable then the Promoter will notify affected winners & provide a reasonable equivalent of equal or greater value.

6. Winner notification & acceptance

6.1 Winners will be notified by email at the address provided in their entry by 27 November 2026. Please add hello@superheroseries.co.uk to your contacts & check your spam or junk folder.

6.2 Winners must respond within 72 hours of the notification email being sent to accept their prize. The email will state the exact acceptance deadline.

6.3 The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact winners. If a winner declines or does not respond by the stated deadline or does not meet the eligibility requirements then the prize may be offered to the next highest ranked eligible squad.

6.4 Winning squads must complete event registration & provide any necessary participation permissions by the deadline stated in their notification. The Promoter will explain the practical arrangements & any necessary supervision requirements.

6.5 No payment is required to claim a prize.

7. Personal information & publicity

7.1 The Promoter will use personal information to administer the competition & assess entries & contact winners & arrange prizes as explained in the Privacy Notice on the Superhero Series website.

7.2 The Privacy Notice explains what information is collected & the lawful grounds for using it. It also explains who receives the information & how long it is kept & participants’ rights.

7.3 Entering does not automatically sign anyone up to marketing communications or give blanket permission to publish their photographs or story or disability information.

7.4 Winners may be invited to take part in publicity such as photographs or interviews or social media features. Any agreement to use identifiable stories or images for this publicity will be obtained separately with appropriate permissions for children. Declining optional publicity will not affect entitlement to the prize.

7.5 To demonstrate that prizes have been awarded the Promoter will make the lead winners’ surnames & counties available on request to hello@superheroseries.co.uk for three months after winner notification. Entrants may contact the same address to object to disclosure or request that less information is disclosed.

7.6 The Promoter may nevertheless need to provide winner information & relevant winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority if challenged. Sensitive personal information will not be included in public winner information.

8. Ownership of entries

8.1 Entrants retain ownership of their original stories & photographs & other submitted material.

8.2 By entering you give the Promoter permission to copy & share your entry with those who need it to administer & judge the competition. Any use for promotional publicity will be agreed separately under section 7.

8.3 The Promoter & its licensors retain ownership of their own competition materials & names & logos & other intellectual property. Entering does not transfer ownership of an entrant’s material to the Promoter.

9. Changes & cancellation & responsibility

9.1 The Promoter will administer the competition fairly & take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary disappointment.

9.2 The Promoter will only change or suspend or cancel the competition where unavoidable circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary. Any changes will be communicated promptly & entrants’ interests will be taken into account. The closing date will not be extended simply to obtain more entries.

9.3 If a Celebrity Team Captain becomes unavailable or the event is postponed or cancelled then the Promoter will contact affected winners promptly to explain the arrangements & any reasonable replacement prize under clause 5.9.

9.4 The Promoter is not responsible for failures outside its reasonable control that prevent an entry or email from being received except where the law requires otherwise.

9.5 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Participants’ statutory rights are unaffected.

10. General

10.1 By entering you agree to these competition terms.

10.2 Questions or complaints should be sent to hello@superheroseries.co.uk.

10.3 These terms are governed by English law. Courts in England & Wales may hear disputes without affecting any mandatory rights a participant has to bring proceedings in the courts of their home jurisdiction or benefit from applicable local consumer protections.
