Your story: “I'm a recent cancer survivor, which has unfortunately left me with spinal damage. I've recently started training at a wheelchair basketball club (WOO HEDLEYS NEWCASTLE EAGLES!). I'm determined to prove that having a disability does NOT mean that you can't get on with your normal life and live it to the full!”
What it feels like to win a Celebrity Team place: “I honestly cannot believe I have won a place. I never win anything!”
Gadget of choice: “My day wheelchair.”
Most looking forward to: “Meeting everyone. They will have such inspirational stories!”
Your Kryptonite: “Probably the race itself. This will be my first big race as I only got into disability sports in the past year. There’s not a lot of opportunity around where I live.”
Your Superpower: “I’m a very likeable person. Always have a good crack on and I don’t give up easily!”

Push/run: Riley Pathman, 18

Your story: Riley and I (Sidekick Dad James) are a duo team from the US. We have done lots of tris, 19 full marathons and countless other races together. Riley has cerebral palsy and loves racing. At four years old we were invited to do a kid’s walk and since then, besides surfing, all Riley wants to do is swim, bike, run.”
What it feels like to win a Celebrity Team place: “Amazing! We’re travelling all the way from the US to do the full Sidekick Superhero Tri too.”
Why Superhero Tri: It’s the first time we’ll be doing something like this with so many other like-minded people. We’re looking forward to giving them all a good race!”
Your gadget of choice: His gadget is me, his Sidekick.
Most looking forward to: “Coming first!”
Your Kryptonite: “Jetlag”
Your Superpower: “Teamwork.”
