A Worldwide Pandemic & 4 Virtual events later… This is what Superhero Series has been up to!

Not long after our Winter Wonderwheels 2019 event the world came to a grinding holt, we quickly came to the realisation that there would be no in person events for the foreseeable future and that our Superheroes and Sidekicks needed sport, community and a break from the world now more than ever before. We committed ourselves to our ‘anything goes’ outlook, no matter the challenges we faced- much like our Superheroes.

We decided that virtual events were the way forward, so we created our at home Superheroes initiative where our Superheroes and their Sidekicks could participate all from the safety of their own homes and in addition to this we hosted our Super Sensory Initiative which enabled the participation of those with the most complex needs. Superhero Series hosted our ‘At home Winter Wonderwheels’, ‘Find Your Powers Challenge’ and our current event ‘At Home Superheroes’; where each one of our Superheroes and their Sidekicks walk, run, cycle, swim, trampoline or anyway they see fit to log as many KM’s as possible.

We have been absolutely blown away by the amount of participants we’ve had this year across our 4 events, with over 10,000 Superheroes and Sidekicks finding their Superpowers. Among our spectacular Superheroes, we’ve had some amazing names that have taken part such as JJ Chalmers, Alex Brooker, Anne Usher MBE, Liz Johnson and many, many more.

Our virtual events were meant to be a band aid for the disaster that was happening outside our front doors however, we found that despite the pandemic, they came to be very powerful and enlightening affairs that we’ll never forget.

We can’t wait to get back to out there and see you all again completing your missions at our next live in- person event in December, which will run alongside our virtual event for anyone that can’t make it to us.
