Meet our Superhero Family winners who teamed up with our Celebrity Team Captains on the day.

Superhero Family: Team Kaiser
From: Lancashire
Challenge: Lakeside Dash (1km)
Meet the SUPER family:
Single Dad Ryan and his three awesome children jumped at the chance to be involved in an event where they can all compete side by side. They can’t wait to forge an even stronger family bond and show having a sibling with a disability isn't an obstacle.
Dad Ryan: Nothing phases this all-or-nothing character who’ll tackle any challenge!
Kian: The 11-year-old, who has cerebral palsy, took part in his first Superhero Tri this year and wants to continue pushing himself and showing there’s no limit to what anyone with a disability can do!
Lily: This 9-year-old hurricane isn’t afraid of getting wet or muddy and will encourage Kian all the way, even if she has to get bossy!
Carson: The youngest at 7, Carson will follow his siblings anywhere so is guaranteed to make it over the finish line. :)
Superhero Family: The Super Survivors
From: Kent
Challenge: Once Round the Lake (5km)
Meet the SUPER family:
This super close-knit family have faced many struggles, but always find the time to support and show so much kindness to each other and those around them. They’re true Superheroes!
Super Dad Chris: Keeping his hidden disabilities to himself, he works all he can to ensure the safety of the family.
Mum Lynn: The battler and the super glue.
Harley: Super kind, thoughtful and sensitive, the older son looks after so many others, despite being only 16!
Sam: The youngest member of this super family, Sam, who is autistic and has PTSD, smashed Winter Wonderwheels last year and Superhero Tri this summer. He’s previously watched the celebrity races from the sidelines, but now it’s his turn!

Superhero Family: Bees Knees
From: Hampshire
Challenge: Lakeside Dash (1km)
Meet the SUPER Family:
Regulars at the Superhero events, the three Bauert brothers will be joining forces with their Mum and JJ for their first-ever celebrity race – and giving a masterclass in teamwork!
Mum: When she’s not attending to family business, this super mum dons her cape and does great work as the administrator of the NHS Activity Limb Fund.
Ross: In a show of true team spirit, the biggest brother flew all the way from Australia to take part in Superhero Series 2018.
Toby: The most competitive of the lot!! The 20 year old is raring to go and looking forward to showing the Bauert boys how to do it in style!
Ollie: The youngest member of the family is no less gutsy. This 12-year-old, who will be wearing his activity blade for the race, has been participating at Superhero events from the very beginning and can’t wait to get his teeth into this latest challenge!
Family Superhero name: The Fantastic 5 From: Kent

Meet the SUPER Family:
With Dad always cracking out the jokes to keep his team smiling through thick and thin, this family is super in every way! With Mum, Dad and his amazing brother and sister by his side there is nothing that will stop Ethan and his family from smashing Winter Wonderwheels as the Fantastic 5!
Dad and Stepdad Kevin: Super funny and constantly inspired by his super family.
Mum Katrina: The super glue that holds them all together.
Ethan: This Superhero is super determined, super at flossing and busting out awesome moves, and especially super at proving others wrong.
Kaitlyn: Super kind, super caring, super loving and oh so super supportive.
Cohen: Super fun, super energetic, super cute and super cool!

Superhero Family: The Anarchists,
From: Surrey
Challenge: Lakeside Dash (1km)
Meet the SUPER Family:
Not all families come in traditional form and here’s a case in point. One half of The Anarchists, Hannagh, will be accompanied around the lake by her personal trainer, Claire, who constantly encourages and challenges her out of her comfort zone.
Hannagh: A keen dressage rider, Hannagh’s lucky enough to be teaming up with her hero! She is visually impaired and has chronic lung disease, so this is going to be a huge challenge for her, but no way is she letting it stop her!
Claire: Hannagh’s super supportive personal trainer will completing the challenge by Hannagh’s side as her motivation.
Superhero Family: Super Speedy Smiths
From: Norfolk
Challenge: Once round the lake (5km)
Meet the SUPER Family:
Sterling and his crew are definitely ones to watch. Sterling sped around the 5k course so fast last year he came in second! He loved watching everyone celebrate at the end with the snow machine so we’ll make sure it’s turned up to the max for him this year!
Mum & Dad: Their secret weapon is constantly trying to keep up with speedy Sterling. An exhausting task, but it keeps them very fit!
Sterling: The eldest son, age 12, has superpowers and does everything at speed. He runs everywhere, jumps around and loves cycling… at speed!
Austin: The second eldest, 9-year-old Austin, is also a dab hand at cycling and will be living up to his Superhero Family name and racing alongside Sterling on his trusty bike.
Jude: The youngest member of the crew is only 2, but in true Speedy Smith style he’ll be there with Christmas bells on!

Superhero Family: Beano Power
From: Shropshire
Challenge: Lakeside Dash (1km)
About the SUPER Family:
Tom’s parents will be racing after their mini turbo on the day as he channels the energy of his favourite character Denis the Menace! A huge lover of running, a career in athletics may well await!
Mum Caroline: Five years on from her breast cancer diagnosis, Caroline is trying to get fit to keep up with Tom! She loves a laugh and “will slow the team down”!
Dad James: The one who can (just about) keep up with Tom!
Tom: Full of fun, just like his hero Dennis the Menace, Tom will be wearing a blade on the day to do one of things he loves best – running!
Superhero Family: Seaside Superheroes From: Clacton-On-Sea in Essex
Challenge: Once round the lake (5km)
Meet the SUPER Family:
The Seaside Superheroes are a large, loving care home family of young people and children with complex care needs and life-limiting conditions. They will be ably represented by three awesome teammates who’ll be flying the Seaside flag high for everyone.
Louie: This 9-year-old was an extremely premature baby who has grown into a super strong human with a fab personality. Despite all his medical challenges, LouLou manages to make those around him smile every day.
George: 21-year-old Gorgeous George’s short stays at the care home are always much anticipated and he never fails to light up the room his dance moves to This is Me.
Kayleigh: the 22-year-old has a tracheostomy, limited mobility and the driest sense of humour. Her stories are always worth the wait!

Superhero Family: Finding Our Power From: Essex
Challenge: Lakeside Dash (1km)
Meet the SUPER Family:
This challenge is the first time Billy will unite with his fiancée Ellie and son Noah to take part in a sporting event together. He would have been defeated by the super villain 'Depression' without their support and wants to show them, as they show him, how to live life to the best.
Dad Billy: A long-time Superhero Series supporter whose end goal has always been to get his family out on the course with him and aims to invite even more family to join him next year!
Mum Ellie: Billy’s rock over the years, who has supported him to take on challenges and had such a positive impact on his life.
Noah: Loves riding his mini bike and is so keen and supportive to both his mummy and daddy.
Superhero Family: Guardians of the Milster
From: Suffolk
Challenge: Once round the lake (5km)
Meet the SUPER Family:
Mother and daughter have already proved a mighty duo in past years, having smashed two Superhero Tris and one Winter Wonderwheels. This is the first time Dad Dave will cape up to join them and with Anne on their team, they’re already winners!
Daddy Doodleberry Dave: Two new knees stopped Dad being able to come and support Millie at previous Superhero events. He’s now keen to support Millie in her latest mission and put his new knees to the test!
Mumma Nicky: Loves to swim, bike, run and plans on taking part in a Half Ironman next year. Mostly she “LOVES” the Superhero Series as it gives Millie the chance to get the same buzz all her friends at the TRI club when they complete.
Superhero Millie: Has cerebral palsy and wasn’t expected to walk unaided or talk – and did neither until she was 6. But this young lady continues to defy all the doctors!
