Cape and caboodle

At Superhero Series our ethos is ‘anything goes’. If there's something you want or need on the course that’s not listed below, call us on 01306 627 301 and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Masks, capes and pants over tights with some festive sparkle are massively encouraged. Check out some super costumes here!

When it comes to kit, our ethos is ‘anything goes’. Here's a list of gadgets and gismos that are welcome on the course for Winter Wonderwheels powered by Marvel, on 5 December 2021. If there’s something you want or need that’s not listed, simply call us on 01306 627 301. Masks, capes and plenty of festive sparkle are positively encouraged!

Some essentials:

There are just a few kit essentials we ask that you adhere to, to ensure you have a fantastic day out:

-        If you are using a bike, adapted cycle or other type of vehicle, please make sure it’s in a roadworthy condition, with brakes in good working order.

-        People travelling on wheels at high speed must wear a helmet. We recommend that everyone on wheels wears a helmet for their safety but we know that this isn’t always practical.

-        Don’t forget any tools or spares!

Gadgets and gismos welcome:

  • Wheelchair: day, racing or powered

  • Race runner/Petra running bike

  • Walker/walking frame

  • Walking stick

  • Crutches

  • Buggies/pushchairs: if you are pushing a participant around the course

  • Tether: used around wrist

  • Bicycle: with or without trailers and the like to push/pull Superheroes along

  • Tricycle

  • Handcycle

  • Tandem

  • Recumbent bike

  • Wheelchair bike

  • Blades

  • Trainers

If you’re looking for ideas, or want to hire an adaptive cycle, check out our official bike partner Get Cycling.

Cycle Hub are bringing along 20 standard bikes that Superhero participants are welcome to use for a discretionary donation of £5. To avoid disappointment on the day, please contact Julie at comms@cyclehub.org.uk in advance to book your bike.
