Our Celebrity Team Captains put a call out to the nation for teammates to join them for this epic challenge and below we reveal our lucky competition winners.
We will be announcing a second round of Celebrity Team Captains very soon, so watch this space for another chance to win a place in the Celebrity Superhero Tri!
Comedian and talk show host
The comedian, Last Leg frontman and Paralympics commentator is stepping from the safety of the sidelines and into the action all guns blazing.
Rather fittingly, he will be taking on the last leg and looking to his tenacious teammates Brooke to smash the swim and Ben to cycle like the wind on his super bike.
Powerlifting Paralympic silver medallist
There’s no questioning Ali’s fighting spirit. After narrowly missing out on a medal at London 2012, he came back four years later and earned himself a silver.
He'll be putting the same passion into his glory push/run home and will be giving his teammates, swimmer Lauren and cyclist Darren, the lift they need to succeed.
TV reporter, DJ and journalist
The TV star is certainly no slacker when it comes to sport. He played wheelchair basketball at national level and was two-time European champion with the GB Junior team, which he captained in 2004.
He's bagged himself two great teammates, Liam D for the swim and Liam O for the bike, making #TeamJordan definitely one to watch!
Breaststroke Paralympic champion
One of only a handful of British Para Swimmers to win gold medals at the Paralympics, World Championships, and European Championships, Liz is trying her hand at a new challenge at Superhero Tri.
She'll be sharing her swim expertise with teammate Ian, who is taking the plunge, and then getting on her bike and handing over to 10-year-old Neve for the glory push/run home.
Club Throw Paralympic champion
This legendary athlete has competed in five Paralympic Games, five World Championships and four European Championships, winning a total of 26 international medals!
For Superhero Tri, he'll be turning his talents to the push/run and offering stellar support to his two Superhero teammates - David in the swim, and Bethany on the bike.
TV Presenter and Invictus Games medallist
The former Royal Marines Commando and Rio Paralympics anchorman isn’t one to give up easily.
His teammates, swimmer Sophie and push/runner Nicole, will see up close the steeliness behind those Clark Kent glasses and help him on his mission to beat #TeamDave!
Sophie Christiansen, OBE
Eight-time Paralympic gold medallist
Our ambassador and a Celebrity Team Captain will be swapping her horse for a recumbent trike and taking on the Celebrity Superhero Tri and the Full Superhero Tri.
Luckily for Sophie, she has some seriously super support. Richard will be diving in for the swim and her number one fan, 7-year-old Elan, will be flying home for the final push/run.
Sprint and paracycling Paralympic champion
The 25-year-old sprinted and cycled her way into the history books at Rio to become the first British Paralympian to win gold in two separate sports in over 30 years.
The new sporting superstar will be cheering on swimmer Sally before jumping on her bike and handing over to 6-year-old Superboy Arlo for the climactic finish!
Paracanoe Paralympic champion
The mother of two and the reigning Paralympic, World and European paracanoe champion will be taking on the bike stage on her tandem.
She's bagged herself some cracking support in the shape of swimmer Sarah, tandem partner, husband Simon, and push/runner Greg who'll be giving all they've got for #TeamAnne!
Dave Henson, MBE
Paralympian and Invictus Games team captain
The former Royal Engineer has experienced many sporting highs over the years and recently added a Paralympic medal to his long list of achievements.
He'll be sharing his serious Team Captain credentials with swimmer Barry and father-daughter bike duo David and Rebecca, who'll be on their tandem. Could theirs be the winning team?
Paracycling Paralympic champion
What an incredible 2016 paracyclist Megan Giglia had. She set a world record and struck gold at Rio!
Kicking off the race in the water, Megan will be looking to continue her successful run - and with Izzie and race-runner Muninder on her team, she's in with a good chance!
TV presenter, artist, model and entrepreneur
In true Superhero spirit, Sophie is undeterred by the sporting greats around her and can’t wait to get her teeth into this new challenge.
Her teammates are Alexandra, who is taking on the bike stage, and Jim and Riley, who are flying in all the way from the US for what is sure to be a nail-biting finish!
More Celebrity Team Captains to be announced soon!
